Liz Hess


Liz began exploring the artistic use of clay over 25 years ago. Since her early experimentations she has continued to grow, refine and evolve her multifaceted styles of expressive display as well as functional art. Her work in her words is "inspired by garden and nature including whimsical, functional, and sculptural art".


Liz is a founding member of the Clay Artists' Guild in Goshen, IN and has been involved in the Annual Soup Bowl benefiting interfaith Hospitality for over 17 years. She has shared her pieces in numerous venues in the Michiana region, including having several pieces being accepted into the Midwest Museum of American Art and noteably won a Purchase award in 2016 for sculptural ceramics. 

Liz lives in Middlebury, IN with her husband and two dogs, Axle and Sarge.
